Selling your car can sometimes prove to be a daunting task, here are some tips that BuyCentre are able to give you:
Step 1: What is my vehicle worth?
Sometimes the decision to sell a vehicle privately comes down to the amount of profit you will gain through the transaction. Before you can decide whether the process will be worth the effort, you will need to find out exactly how much your car is worth.
A few resources that will estimate your vehicle’s current market value include:

These are simply data sources; a car seller must always remember that a vehicle is only worth the amount of money that someone is prepared to pay for it.

South African law requires that a change of ownership is completed by both the seller and the buyer and then handed in at your local licensing authority, as a general guide, be prepared to have:
- The Natis Document.
- ID Documents of the seller and the buyer
- Valid Roadworthy Certificate (Required for licensing in the new owners name)
- Signed and completed Change of Ownership documents
