Oh, we live in a wonderous time indeed. It’s when joyous couples who didn’t even know about each other’s existence a mere few days ago, will possibly be sharing the space at the backseat of a car (hopefully not a VW Beetle. It’s a bit cramped).
That’s thanks to the wonderful invention of online dating. Suddenly, there’s an entire pool of people you didn’t know, and weren’t likely to ever meet, coming into your circle.
Apps like Tinder are especially convenient. Do you like him and his dimpled chin? Swipe right. Don’t like her and her blurry selfies? Swipe left. Swipe, swipe, swipe, until somebody you like likes you back – and then it’s business time. Well, you know what we mean. Hopefully you have a nice spacious sedan.
Well, meet your new baby.
We had an epiphany recently. So, when we redid our app, we added in a really cool feature. We call it our ‘Cupid Feature’. Okay, it’s not literally called that. It’s more the name we use around the office.
But it works like a matchmaker. (Can you hear that song from Fiddler on the Roof?)
You see a picture of a car, and you can swipe left or right. Now this isn’t exactly like Tinder. Left or right swiping just takes you down the line of available cars. And unlike Tinder, if you decide you want to have another look at a car you passed by, you can swipe left until you find it again. Free rewinds, basically!
The way you pick a car is by swiping up. It doesn’t matter if the car likes you back or not. It doesn’t get a say in the matter. Because, really, money talks.
The car you’ve selected goes into your wishlist. You can now continue to swipe and see whatever else you can find or go back to your main page on the app and click on ‘Wishlist’.
We encourage you to keep looking though; they say it isn’t always the first one you meet that sets your feet walking down the aisle.
(Not that we’re saying you’d be wedded to your choice of car for life – and unlike divorce, you don’t lose half of everything, you gain! Especially when you sell it back through us.)
Anyway, once you’re back in your wishlist, you’ll see your list of vehicles there.
Just like in any courting situation, there are other suitors suiting up to take the love of your life (currently) from you. So you don’t want to let your prize get away. See if you can afford the financials of the car you most desire on the wishlist and if you can, go for it!
But it ain’t over yet if you can’t.
You still have another option: financing through Wesbank (see one of our previous blogs for more details about that here).
In any case, that’s how easy it is to meet the new love of your life, with BuyCentre!
Go for it.
