What is the most exciting part of your job?
Honestly… seeing clients smile when handing over their car to us because they know they got such a great deal. It’s that gratitude that it makes us feel humbled. That’s what it’s all about!

Before working at BuyCentre, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
A Pizza Delivery Guy in Weltevreden Park, Johannesburg.
If you could change roles with anyone in the company for a day, who would it be and why?
I think everyone pulls their weight equally within our company and we all try and give the best customer experience we can. So, changing roles wouldn’t feel much different from one position to the next!
Do you have an office nickname? What is it?
Yes, I do: people call me Dawwiiieeeee. With an Afrikaans accent for some reason!
What advice would you give to recent new hires, Dawwiiieeeee?
We are in a highly competitive market. Going the extra mile or being the difference in someone’s day is what brings the taste of success.
What’s your all-time favourite car? 🚙
You’re going to laugh… A VW Amarok is what I enjoy driving! I think the best-looking car is a Ferrari 458 in white. But I wouldn’t drive it on a daily basis, obviously!
If you could have a superpower, what could it be?
It would be to turn back time an relive special moments in my life!
If you were to write a book about yourself, what would you name it?
Dave, just Dave!

What is the nerdiest thing you do in your spare time?
Hmmm, I enjoy listening to country music and thinking of new ideas… I am not sure if you can consider that nerdy? Spare time usually entails family time and golf for me!
