Meet the Team: Shaun, BuyCentre’s Mind Over Matter Guy
Shaun was a deckhand, cruising super yachts around the Mediterranean, in his more distant past. It’s fitting, because he helps keep the BuyCentre customer experience smoothly sailing. As one of BuyCentre’s most charismatic chaps (sorry, ladies, unlike the cars he sells, he’s off the market), he makes a great poster boy for what makes the company so friendly. We ask him a couple of questions to get to know him better:
Hey Shaun, tell us, if you could change roles with anyone, what would it be?
“I’d never change roles with anyone. I love what I do, which is client liaising.”
Do you have any advice for the new guys at the company?
“Yes, please ask for help wherever it’s needed. We’re a team here, we look out for each other. And never think you know everything – there’s always something more to learn.”
What would be your dream vehicle from BuyCentre, if they obtained it?
“Oh, the Aston Martin DBII convertible, Mish Moneypenny. It’s the ‘comfort’ speed class – all in one.”
And here’s a fun question for you, what superhero power would you choose if you could?
“Oh definitely telekinesis. The power to manipulate matter using the power of the mind. Our minds are our greatest assets, with them, we can change the world.”
If you wrote a book, what would it’s title be?
“It’s Only Life… So Smile. Which fits my motto too: ‘your life does not need to make sense to anybody, but yourself – so live it to the full.’”
What’s the most exciting part of your job?
“As you deal with a number of different people (and their needs) every day, you’ve got to constantly adapt… treating clients’ needs uniquely. What works for one doesn’t work for all. But I love the challenge of it, and I love helping people find what they’re looking for, whether it’s a great price or a great vehicle.”
Finally, what do you love most about BuyCentre?
“BuyCentre is my second home. It’s rare to find a company where everybody feels welcome and part of a family. We strive to work together harmoniously, allowing us to have a really sincere, human touch with our clients. I’m more than just a number here. I’m part of something greater.”
